The City of Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey (the “City”) is pleased to present an exciting new development opportunity to developers or teams of developers (“Respondents”) interested in taking part in the transformation of over fifty acres at the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor (the “Peninsula”). Respondents are being asked to present their most creative and innovative designs and concept plans for the development of one or more parcels in the Harbor Station South District (the “District”). The District is located along Route 440 across from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station on the southwestern portion of the Peninsula.

Connected to Manhattan by the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, PATH trains and commuter water ferry services, Our county boasts a gleaming waterfront replete with office towers bearing the names of investment and banking giants like J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch & Co. We are home to a host of information-age firms formerly based in New York who found the a Hudson County address helped make them more competitive.
Hudson remains a transportation hub, boasting a modern light rail system that runs north-south throughout the County, and serviced by several major transportation arteries, including the New Jersey Turnpike, I-280, and U.S. Route 1 & 9. We are within short travel distance of Newark Liberty, Kennedy and LaGuardia International Airports. And we also continue to build on our proud history in the shipping industry with improved deep-water ports that will soon be ready to handle the super-freighter traffic of the 21rst Century.
I am enormously proud of the work of our County Economic Development Corporation. It plays a key role in encouraging business development here in Hudson County, lending over 3 million dollars in low cost financing to small businesses, administering the County’s award winning Brownfields programs and serving the business community with site location and relocation services.
I hope this website, and our outstanding HEDC staff will help convince you that Hudson County is the address for business success.
